Cumin Biscuits

Cumin Biscuits Recipe

 

 

Ingredients

 

`Flour                  9 ounce

Butter                  6 ounce

Sugar                   2 tbsp

Baking Powder   1 tsp

Cumin seeds       1 tbsp

Salt                      1 tsp

Egg                      ½

 

Baking Time    20 minutes

Temperature    180

 

Method:

 

* Take Flour 9 ounce and add baking powder 1 tsp, salt 1 tsp and cumin seeds 1 tbsp, mix them all and set aside

* Take butter 6 ounce (150 gm) and beat it, now add caster sugar 2 tbsp and beat both together for about 5 to 7 minutes

* Now take 1 egg and beat it, add half beat egg in butter and beat

* Its time to make doe. Start adding flour which we set aside before in butter and mix them all together

* For making soft doe, add flour slowly in butter

* Make a proper soft doe and put it in fridge for 25 minutes, this will help the doe to settle

* Take it out from fridge after 25 minutes and roll it with the help of rolling pin

* Make sure that when you roll the doe it not becomes too thin, thickness must be about ¼ inches

* Doe must not be too hard, smooth and soft doe is required to make cumin biscuits

* Use cookie shape cutter to cut the doe in different desired shapes, usually round shape looks good for cumin biscuits

* Do not grease the baking tray

* Place all the cookies in baking tray and bake it for 20 minutes in pre-heat oven

* If you feel that cookies are not properly baked yet then leave it for 4-5 minutes

* When cookies turn to slight golden brown and baked perfectly then take the baking dish out

* Enjoy the yummy Cumin biscuits with a cup of tea

* Store the cumin biscuits in air tight jar

*If you want crispy biscuits then bake it for 20 min or more or if you like to eat soft cumin biscuit then bake it for 10 to15 min but make sure it is not raw
